Sen. Manny Pacquiao to take a leave of absence from Senate

Senator Manny Pacquiao has been reported to be planning a leave of absence in the Philippine Senate to give boxing another chance.

It has only been more than a month since Sen. Pacquiao won a seat in the senate, however, the senator has been reportedly to be planning a leave of absence to go back to his first love – boxing.

Top Rank CEO Bob Arum said that Pacquiao is currently searching for another opponent and is possibly going to return for a fight. The senator is said to be working closely with Senate President Franklin Drilon in order to find a date where he can take a break and train.

“He is going to fight. I don’t know what the date is. He is working with the President of the Philippine Senate for an appropriate date where he can leave the Philippines for two or three weeks to prepare for a fight,” said Arum.
