Expect heavy rains as Dindo exits PH
MANILA - State weather bureau PAGASA warned the public Friday evening to expect moderate to heavy rainfall as Typhoon Dindo (international name: Lionrock) exits the country.
In its 11 p.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said Dindo has slightly weakened and accelerated as it continues to move east-northeast over the Philippine Sea.
The typhoon is packing maximum sustained winds of up to 150 kilometers per hour with gusts of 185 kph.
PAGASA said the center of the typhoon was spotted at 1,200 kilometers east-northeast of Itbayat, Batanes as of 10 p.m. Friday.
The typhoon is moving east-northeast at 9 kph.
While no tropical cyclone warning signals were raised, the public is advised to take appropriate actions.
